DINING
The Grand Dining Room
The Grand Dining Room is a study in stateliness, a tribute to the spirit of Europe’s marquee 5-star hotel restaurants that inspired its dignified yet convivial ambiance. Handsomely decorated in rich woods, designer tapestry fabrics and oversized armchairs, the expansive dining area exudes classic splendor. Tables are beautifully set with bone china, sparkling Riedel crystal, gleaming silver, and fine cotton linens. Remarkably, as sumptuous as The Grand Dining Room’s decor is, guests always feel completely at ease within its grandeur. Much of that is a direct reflection of the formally attired and classically trained wait staff, graciously serving course after course of European-inspired cuisine or delectable alternatives such as light and healthy Canyon Ranch Spa Cuisine and gourmet vegan options. And signature specials from Jacques and Red Ginger are featured nightly in The Grand Dining Room. As variety is essential, menus change daily with a brilliant choice of at least ten appetizers, soups and salads and twelve entrées at dinner.
The Bistro
Inspired by the family recipes of Executive Culinary Director, Jacques Pépin, The Bistro invites you to enjoy quintessential French dishes as well as lunchtime favorites and regional specialties during lunch in The Grand Dining Room. The menu features some of Jacques’ favorite bistro-style dishes like the crisp salade niçoise and a warm croque-monsieur as well as a rich range of global flavors with Taste of the World selections from Cuba, Mexico, Scandinavia, Italy, Thailand, Morocco and beyond. Daily specials offer even more choices and opportunities to savor a new and different dish or a time-honored classic you crave. Bon appétit!
Polo Grill | A Classic Steakhouse
Polo Grill embodies all the elements of a classic steakhouse, expressing them with timeless reverence. Mindful of tradition, the decor features crisp, white linen tablecloths, dark wood furnishings, and supple, high-back, burgundy leather chairs. Each course stands as the very definition of time-honored favorites, most notably the beef dishes, all of which are USDA Prime and dry-aged for 28 days to enhance tenderness and flavor. Succulent seafood dishes such as Grilled Swordfish and Whole Maine Lobster Gratinée are also classics. The Classic Caesar Salad, too, is prepared according to tradition, tableside and with gusto.
Toscana | Authentic Italian
In Italian, Toscana means Tuscan, and just as Tuscan cuisine evolved from rich family traditions, many of the recipes originated with the mothers and grandmothers of the Italian culinary staff. Presented on elegant, custom-designed Versace china, masterfully prepared dishes exemplify the essence of Tuscany and celebrate Italy’s culinary passion. Perhaps the evening begins with an appetizer of Octopus Carpaccio with Champagne Vinaigrette or the Artichoke and Parmesan Cheese Timbale with Black Truffle Sauce. Classic dishes from other regions of Northern Italy are featured as well, such as the Minestrone Alla Genovese, Lasagna al Forno Alla Bolognese, and Osso Buco Alla Milanese.
Tuscan Steak | Inspired by Polo Grill & Toscana
Tuscan Steak, an all-new specialty restaurant, exudes the warmth and Italian flair of Toscana while preserving the classic appeal of Polo Grill. Featuring glossy wood paneling with platinum and silver accents, the elegantly appointed interior of Tuscan Steak aptly reflects its modern take on the traditional steakhouse. The innovative and diverse menu features the best of both worlds, so you can savor Filet Mignon and our Signature Bistecca Alla Fiorentina cooked to perfection, along with rustic Italian favorites such as Hand-Rolled Potato Gnocchi. Seafood lovers will delight in succulent dishes such as Maine Lobster Gratinate and Linguine Cioppino.
Waves Grill | Alfresco Dining
Sometimes, the ultimate luxury is casual dining on all-American favorites, a style laid-back Waves Grill epitomizes. Located in a spacious, shaded area steps from the swimming pool, Waves Grill offers an extensive and mouthwatering luncheon menu as well as raw, cold-pressed juices, vegan smoothies and healthy energy bowls during breakfast at the new Raw Juice & Smoothie Bar. During lunch, watch the chefs grill gourmet burgers, tangy barbecue, and succulent seafood to order in the open galley, accompanying them with side dishes like garden-fresh salads and crispy, hand-cut truffle fries dusted with grated aged parmesan.
Country Club Casual | Feel at Home Away from Home
Isn’t it wonderful to feel welcome and comfortable when traveling? It makes the experience so much more enjoyable and encourages you to mingle with shipmates and to fully explore your ship and the exciting destinations visited. You are instantly put at ease, and it’s so refreshingly casual and friendly that it’s like being in your own private country club where everyone knows your name.
Come and Go as You Please
This is elegance without pretense nor the need for tuxedos and evening gowns. This is a world where you can be yourself. The overwhelming sense of comfort and belonging seems to kindle geniality. Striking up conversations and making new friends becomes effortless. You will find it exceedingly easy to be sociable. Sometimes you may want nothing more than to relax by yourself. Take comfort in knowing that there are plenty of private retreats reserved just for you.
Intimate & Luxurious Ships | Great Benefits
Once you sail on one of Oceania Cruises luxurious ships, you will never settle for anything less, nor will you ever again be satisfied with anything more regarding size. Larger ships simply cannot provide the pronounced intimacy, coziness and personalized vacation experience for which Oceania Cruises has become renowned. Insignia caters to just 684 pampered guests on Regatta, Insignia. Warmth and conviviality come naturally. Elegance and grace are givens. The ambiance is exceptionally relaxed and personal as the crew singularly focuses on your individual desires. Consequently, service standards soar, guests easily develop a rapport with staff and fellow guests, and the friendships only deepen as the days pass effortlessly.
Going ashore and returning on board takes minutes rather than hours. Life just seems to proceed at a more courteous pace. The differences are sizeable, noticeable and so refreshing.
Not everyone holds the impeccable credentials to join Insignia’s award-winning staff. Only those who have distinguished themselves in the world’s finest hotels and most renowned restaurants will do. They are true professionals with the rare ability to fastidiously attend to every detail and magically anticipate your wishes. The ease with which they remember your name, preferences and wants borders on miraculous. Nowhere is this talent more evident than among the English-trained Butlers who meticulously care for guests in all our suites.
