Le Golf National. Le Golf National’s L’Albatros course, located in Guyancourt, southwest of Paris, is a championship course designed by Hubert Chesneau and Robert Von Hagge. Spanning 7,331 yards with a par of 72, it is known for its challenging layout, combining the traditional feel of a links course with modern features of target golf2. The course features vast undulating fairways, slick greens, and numerous strategically placed bunkers, requiring golfers to use every club in their bag. A standout feature of L’Albatros is its signature hole, the par-3 16th. Water hazards surround this hole and demand precision and accuracy, making it one of the course’s most memorable and challenging holes. The final four holes, including the 16th, are particularly spectacular and are surrounded by water hazards, making L’Albatros an actual test of golf and one of the finest courses in Europe.
